Between 2011 and 2013 Andreia Nogueira was a researcher on the project "Documentation of Contemporary Art". During that period, she had also completed her Master's Degree in Conservation and Restoration at NOVA University of Lisbon with research on the preservation and documentation of installations, ephemeral works and films by the Portuguese artist Francisco Tropa (b.1968), pertaining to the collections of the Serralves Museum, the Modern Art Centre of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation and the Culturgest. Andreia Nogueira holds as well a PhD (2018) in Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage at the same university. Her PhD research focused on the development of the first study dedicated to the preservation of the Portuguese contemporary musical heritage through its documentation and on the implementation of the first worldwide investigation on contemporary music preservation conducted by a contemporary art conservator with an unusual interdisciplinary knowledge. Focusing on a continuous career progression Andreia Nogueira won, in 2018, a research grant at the Project Support Office from the University of Minho to consolidate her knowledge on science and technology management activities, which is extremely important for a successful research career. Andreia Nogueira is now an experienced R&D project manager (H2020, HEurope, COST Actions, FCT). She is also skilled in coordination of R&D project management team, EU funding and reporting, proposals submission to several funding entities, international networking, organization of international scientific events and editorial coordination of peer-reviewed journals. Currently, Andreia Nogueira is engaged in critical and reflexive innovative work on the meaning and significance of our contemporary cultural heritage (in between music and the visual arts) and on the articulation between sustainable development and creative conservation. She is conducting the post-doctoral project "ARTinBetween: Bridging the gap for the long-term sustainability of multimedia artworks in between music and the visual arts" (2021-2024), funded by FCT and hosted at Techn&Art research centre from the Instituto Politécnico de Tomar, Portugal. As an Assistant Researcher at Techn&Art, Andreia Nogueira is interested in establishing herself as an independent researcher on the European Level, by reflecting on the pioneering connection between contemporary art and contemporary music preservation practices for the preservation of multimedia artworks. Her passion, commitment and dedication to art conservation studies together with her interdisciplinary academic background, high impact achievements and extensive hands-on experience on the particular subjects of contemporary art and contemporary music preservation practices, makes Andreia Nogueira a unique and a leading (national and international) researcher for the discloser of the unexplored field of multimedia artworks preservation and its connection to the pioneering concept of creative conservation.
